How to unfollow Twitter Friend Checkers

In the beginning it seemed a jolly idea to track your Twitter Unfollowers. Sites like Who.Unfollowed.Me, FriendorFollow.com or whounfollowedme.org make it easy for you to keep track of unfollowers as well as new followers, people who don't follow back and/or people you don't follow back. Giving you the option to unfollow and/or follow, as you see fit.

You give these sites authorization and then regular tweets are posted on your Twitter timeline. That's fine, that's interesting. For some. For some time.

So, how do you end this 'service'?

Nowhere on their sites or forums the procedure to end their intrusion of your privacy and the poisoning of your timeline is properly explained. The fact is that you have to end it yourself via the settings of your own Twitter account.

- Goto Twitter (and sign in)
- Click 'Profiles and Settings', which is masquerading as your image (top right)
- Click 'Settings'
- Click 'Apps'
- Find the 'Service' you want to end
- Click 'Revoke access'
